Botany Pond Restoration

This project will mediate the current issues at Botany Pond and restore it to a thriving asset to promote the health of flora, fauna, and human visitors.
New Engineering and Science Building

The University of Chicago will construct a new world-class engineering and science building on our Hyde Park campus that will serve as UChicago’s main center for engineering research and teaching.
Campus South Mixed Use Facility

The University of Chicago Campus South Mixed Use Facility is a four-level parking structure with 323 parking spaces, a parking office, elevator lobbies, a meeting/community room, and support space for the adjacent field located on the ground floor.
High Bay Research Building

The University of Chicago has completed a new High Bay Research Building for physical sciences research and large-scale device fabrication at the southwest corner of 56th Street and Maryland Avenue.

Construction Impacts

Project Managers work closely with Service Delivery and the Office of Civic Engagement to keep the campus community and neighborhood residents apprised of construction activity, and particularly any activity with the potential of causing noise or disruption. See the resources below for information regarding the impacts of summer construction projects.

In case of emergency construction site incidents, please call University police at 773.702.8181 or 911. For non-emergency construction site incidents please call 773.834.2020 and report as much detail as possible. You will receive acknowledgment of your report within 48 hours.
