The Facilities Services summer construction program will commence on Monday, June 6, following Spring Convocation. If you are walking around campus this summer from 56th to 60th Streets you may come across scaffolding, general construction, façade renovation, and interior building renovations. The campus map gives you a visual of where we will be working; this map will appear on the FS home page.
We work closely with our partners in UChicago Medicine, the Office of Civic Engagement, Transportation and Parking, the Registrar’s Office, and Safety and Security to coordinate the impact of summer work on students, colleagues, and neighbors. In addition, we provide updates on construction activities to the campus community on a regular basis particularly when there are needed roadway or lane closures and if pedestrian walkways require rerouting.
