The University of Chicago Physics Research Center (PRC) building received the LEED Gold Certification in February 2018. The renovation and expansion of the PRC building was completed in 2017. For more information about the project scope and team, click here.
Projects pursuing LEED certification earn points across several categories, including energy use and air quality. Based on the number of points achieved, a project then earns one of four LEED rating levels: Certified, Silver, Gold or Platinum.
