It’s the most wonderful time of year and the senior leadership team of Facilities Services is in the spirit. This year the SLT decided to do something different; The five-member team stepped up and purchased all the toys and gifts donated from FS to the Comer Children’s Hospital toy drive. Approximately 100 items (the department’s average contribution) will be given to children of all ages staying at the hospital. Pre-schoolers will be able to make snowmen out of Play-Doh while teens rock around the Christmas tree in donated headsets. All the children and their families can pick out whatever they want from the toy land store inside the hospital. They can even sign up for a virtual meeting with Santa.
They’re not Santa Claus, but the SLT sure wanted to help spread some jolly. The team wanted everyone in FS to focus on staying safe and making the holidays merry and bright for their individual families. Without hesitation, the SLT made the contribution on behalf of the entire department.
