The Campus North Residential Commons and the Frank and Laura Baker Dining Commons will expand the quality of housing options on campus and enhance the sense of connection between all members of the campus community.
Saieh Hall for Economics
The former Chicago Theological Seminary building located at 5757 S. University is now the Saieh Hall for Economics, the University's new home for the Department of Economics and the Becker Friedman Institute for Research in Economics.
William Eckhardt Research Center
The 265,000 gross square foot William Eckhardt Research Center will house offices, conference rooms and laboratories for Division of Physical Sciences units including the Astronomy and Astrophysics Department, the Kavli Institute for Cosmological Studies, and the Enrico Fermi Institute. The building will also house the University’s new Institute for Molecular Engineering.
Laboratory Schools Expansion and Renovation
The renovation/expansion of the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools will support expansion of the schools’ nursery through high school programs from 1750 to 2050 students.
Project Managers work closely with Service Delivery and the Office of Civic Engagement to keep the campus community and neighborhood residents apprised of construction activity, and particularly any activity with the potential of causing noise or disruption.
