This summer, the building will undergo a full disconnect, removal, and replacement of the buildings fire alarm system, including headend equipment, pull stations, audio/visual strobes, visual strobes, smoke/heat detectors, conduit, wire, connections, and all necessary tie-ins to other systems, along with new emergency exit signage and improved emergency lighting throughout the building.
In order successfully execute the project this summer, enabling work must begin during spring break. Enabling work will primarily consist of site and infrastructure preparation in mechanical spaces and corridors. There will be no disruptions to the existing fire alarm system during the enabling work. Facility Services will be mobilizing a construction project for the above location. Please see below for the schedule and anticipated impacts.
