Guaranteed Ride Home, Occasional Parking, Car Pool Parking, and Car Sharing are open only to non-resident students or UChicago employees (permanent or temporary), including those at the Laboratory Schools and those who work 50% or more at the Hyde Park campus.

Note: First-year undergraduate students, students living on campus, resident masters, and resident heads are not eligible. The program is designed for commuting members of the University community only.

Participants can make use of these benefits only if they do not already drive to campus on their own. Therefore, if you have a University parking pass or drive to work and park on the street, you are ineligible for these programs. To confirm your eligibility, you must register with Transportation & Parking Services to be eligible for these benefits. Car poolers must be in a University-registered car pool for these benefits, and others must be enrolled in the Qualified Transportation Program (QTP).

Benefits can be revoked if applicants are found to have submitted fraudulent applications or have otherwise taken advantage of the system. Additionally, UChicago Transportation & Parking Services reserves the right to deny eligibility for any reason.
