How You Currently Get to Campus

As a participant in the Car Sharing Program, I agree to use alternative modes of transportation to get to and from campus. These include carpool, vanpool, walk, bike, or take transit. I understand that I cannot be a registered parking permit holder and hereby register with the Car Sharing Program. CTA, Metra & South Shore users must be enrolled in the QTP Program to be eligible. Carpool users must be a registered carpooler to be eligible.

Choose Your Provider

The University is serviced by two car-sharing companies: I-GO and ZipCar. Please choose which you would prefer:

I-GO ZipCar No Preference

To be eligible for I-GO membership, you must:

Be between the ages of 21 and 75 with five years driving experience and a valid drivers license.
Have no more than two minor violations or accidents in the last three years.
Have no major speed violations within the last three years.
Have no major driving violations within the past five years.

To be eligible for ZipCar membership, you must:

Be at least 21 years old and licensed for at least one year.
Have had no more than two minor moving violations or accidents in the past three years and no more than one incident in the past 18 months.
Have had no major violations in the past three years.
Have had no alcohol violations in the past seven years.

The first 300 eligible Transportation Program participants will have the $25 application fee waived in their program of choice. In addition, participants will receive one year's free membership in either program. Participants are responsible for the hourly rates charged by I-GO and ZipCar.

Notification of enrollment into the Car Sharing Program
will be provided within 5 business days.
