- Replacement of building elements and materials
- Review and approve
- All landscape and hardscape modifications
- All interior and exterior signage to University and ADA standards
- Pedestrian and vehicular traffic pattern modifications
- Plant material selections, digging and trenching, exterior lighting, exterior fencing, bicycle parking, seating, etc.
- Prepare, submit, and maintain all Planned Development records, materials and amendments
- Maintain University Space Information
- Maintain University CAD and Space Inventory Standards
- Field measure and update CAD floor plans
- Print and distribute floor plans and space database information
- Assign room and property numbers for all University real estate
- Prepare and maintain Emergency Preparedness floor plans and space database information
- Lead and manage the architect selection process on all capital projects
- Develop and maintain the campus map in CAD, with a layering system
- Manage building archive, including all construction and renovation project close out documentation
- Maintain open relationship with:
- City of Chicago Departments of Planning, Transportation, Forestry, Streets and Sanitation, and the Chicago Park District
- National Park Service in oversight of the five National Historic Landmarks on campus
- Ferguson Fund for the Nuclear Energy Sculpture
- Oversee outside foundation’s restoration and management of the Frederick C. Robie House
- Manage continued development of the University of Chicago Botanic Garden
- Serve as staff to the Provost’s Faculty Campus Planning Committee
- Serve as liaison and staff to Provost Office space allocation projects
- Work with Vice President for Community Affairs neighborhood issues
- Work with Vice President of Development on development related events, tours, and materials.
