Welcome to Facilities Services at the University of Chicago
The University community—its faculty, students, staff, and visitors—is our client and each member of our department plays a role in supporting the University's mission of world-class teaching and research.
The University is in the midst of a new phase of facilities growth. In 2004 the University revisited the 1999 Master Plan and recommended a series of additional renovations or new construction projects on the West and South Campuses. These include laboratory and office space, a new residence hall, an addition to the Regenstein Library, and improvements and expansion of parking and utility infrastructure to support programmatic initiatives. Facilities Services is also committed to enhancing the beauty of our campus. The University of Chicago is designated a Botanic Garden and is fortunate to sit alongside the historic Midway Plaisance. Through our own initiatives and our partnership with the Chicago Park District, we continue to improve and expand the distinctive landscape of the campus and adjacent parkland. The input of the University community is very important to us as we pursue these projects. We encourage you to provide us with your views and comments.
