The relocation of faculty research laboratories to the Ellen and Melvin Gordon Center for Integrative Science provided the opportunity to renovate the 30-year-old Searle Chemistry Laboratory, and revitalize this research facility. The building will be gutted and renovated to house additional wet laboratories for synthetic chemistry, and office space for the Department of Chemistry and the expansion of the Computation Institute.
