The Joe and Rika Mansueto Library Shelving Addition is planned as an automated storage and retrieval (ASR) shelving facility located to the immediate west of the Regenstein Library along Ellis Avenue. The facility will increase the Library's overall shelving capacity by approximately 3.5 million volumes and provide shelf space for approximately 22 years of new print acquisitions. The addition will also contain consultation space for users of the collections and the Library's preservation facilities.
