Campus North Residential Commons wins Architectural Design Award - 10/2017

University of Chicago Campus North Residential Commons was selected as a 2017 winner in the American Architecture Prize for Architectural Design/Educational Buildings.

The American Architecture Prize™ (AAP) aims to showcase the phenomenal talent and vision displayed by architects all over the world. AAP recognizes individuals and teams who have made a substantial contribution to all areas of architecture. The American Architecture Prize is awarded for single projects in 20 different design categories ranging from agricultural buildings to transportation. Designed by Studio Gang, Campus North Residential Commons was selected as a 2017 winner in the AAP for Architectural Design/Educational Buildings. Studio Gang's submission of North Campus Residence Commons was selected by a jury of 36 international architects.  Although the AAP is in its second year of design selection and award presentation, this year's event is anticipated to host over 200 internationally renowned architects in a prestigious ceremony in New York City on October 27, 2017. The AAP winners’ event is presented in association with Archtober: Architecture and Design Month in New York City happening throughout October 2017.  In addition to a very nice awards ceremony, AAP Architect of the Year winners have their work showcased to a worldwide audience, receive the AAP trophy, and enjoy extensive publicity throughout a year. For more information about the award, click here
